project description
We worked closely with our clients for several years - avid art collectors and philanthropists in their community to bring their home to life and take it to the next level. The clients spent several years designing their home and worked closely with Architect Anne Fougeron to completely reimagine their 1960’s home on a rare double lot in San Francisco’s Potrero Hill Neighborhood. The use of glass here and the space is rare for the city and feels like something you’d see in an environment like Miami or Los Angeles. We worked on this project for many years designing custom furnishings, sourcing vintage antique pieces, selecting interior furnishings, art, exterior furnishings and creating a lush, layered, modern but whimsical experience that surprises and delights the family and their guests. The home itself has a very modernist vernacular of architectural lines that are repeatedly woven throughout the facade and interior of the home. Our design narrative nested furnishings and art that is soft, feminine and sculptural to ad a yin to the project’s yang. Bespoke handmade art pieces add special touches including a wall relief of paper sculpture by Mary Button Durell and a one of a kind 1960’s inhabitable vintage fiberglass sculpture we found at Demisch Danant. The client’s adventurous spirit, love of the arts and their connection and support to their local community all informed this project.
